The AS9100D:2016 standard was developed by an international organization (SAE International) and supported by the IAQG, a global quality group representing leading companies across the aviation sector., such as Boeing Gulfstream, Lockheed Martin, Honeywell, GE, MTU, Airbus and others. Certification according to the standard incorporates the requirements of ISO 9001 and other (legislative and aviation) requirements. In addition, other standards were prescribed, relating to matters such as: evaluation, changing of key properties, risk management of supply chain and others (AS9103, AS9115, and AS9110). Recognition of the Israel Standards Institute of adjusting quality management system in the aviation industry (under the requirements of AS9100D:2016) demonstrates that the organization has taken all necessary steps to fulfill its commitment for quality products.
